We can't offer you gambling advice, but we can tell you how to make your way around Maryland Live Casino, the new $500 million Cordish Cos. gaming destination at Arundel Mills.
The good news is you don't have to drop a nickel to take in the excitement. There are attractions and amenities for the non-gambler, too.
"All you have to do is walk through the doors to realize that we have created a very special experience here for our guests," said Cordish Cos.managing partner Joe Weinberg.
Grand Entrance Promenade
The promenade links the main entrance to the Arundel Mills Mall and provides direct access into the Cheesecake Factory and Bobby's Burger Palace. Think of it as a mini Las Vegas Strip. Elevators from the casino's parking garage drop guests just inside the casino's front doors.
Bobby's Burger Palace
BBP presents a line-up of burgers inspired by chef Bobby Flay's travels throughout the United States. Backing up the 10 signature burgers are beer-battered onion rings, grilled cheese sandwiches and milkshakes and malteds.
The Cheesecake Factory
The classic Cheesecake Factory experience tied up in a sleek, contemporary package. Flanking the casino's main entrance, the restaurant will offer a full bar, late-night dining, Sunday brunch and outdoor dining on the promenade.
Located between the main entrance and the casino floor, the Rotunda is open to all visitors. Its gape-worthy features include a custom-poured terrazzo floor with glass and mirror sparkle, a center column with mirrors, mosaic tiles and, hanging from the dome ceiling, a chandelier made of color-changing light-emitting diode.
The Casino Floor
Opening day guests will have more than 3,200 Las Vegas slot machines and electronic game tables. Slot offerings include a mix of the classics and the hottest new machines like Wheel of Fortune, Sex and the City, Wizard of Oz and Goldfish and a full line-up of Quick Hits and Progressives. Among the electronic tables, or E-Tables, are blackjack, roulette, mini-baccarat and pai gow poker. A select number of the E-Tables are the new breed of electronic table games that simulate the real thing with moving roulette balls and real decks of shuffling cards.
High Limit Room
A posh enclave within the casino, and one of largest high limit spaces in any casino property, this room features approximately 40 slot machines and 40 electronic table games, with denominations ranging from $5 to $100.
"R" as in Roulette. The casino's social centerpiece, the oval shaped bar area spot to gather with your friends, mingle live entertainment, area where guests can place bets on bar-top slots. The bartenders double as callers. Plasma screens are everywhere.
Casino guests can get a quick taste of Maryland here. Located just outside the Live Market Buffet, Phillips will also stock a grab-and-go case for guests who feel a lucky streak coming on fast.
Adjacent to Phillips, this fast-casual wok and noodle bar offers a pan-Asian menu of egg rolls, lo mein, dim sum and create-your own noodle bowls.
Live Market Buffet
Rotisserie-grilled meats, pasta dishes, pizza, made-to-order stir-fries and comfort food like fried chicken and macaroni and cheese are just a sampling of the offerings at the all-you-can eat buffet. Special attractions include a grilled steak and prime rib dinner on Thursday night, the Ultimate Seafood Dinner on Friday and Saturday night and a "champagne brunch" on Sunday. Prices range from $16.99 to $31.99
Coming this summer and fall, the casino will expand to include the 500-seat concert venue Ram's Head Center Stage, the Shop Live retail store, a dedicated bus lounge, the Prime Rib and an additional 1,500 slots and E-Tables.
