Irish Road Bowling
Never heard of it? Well, neither had we. It is an old Irish sport that was played by Civil War troops stationed in West Virginia. The fewest throws of a cannonball to the finish line wins. Anyone can play this weekend at Coopers Rock State Forest, and cannonballs will be provided.
Irish Road Bowling starts at 12:30 p.m. March 30 at Coopers Rock State Forest. Registration begins at noon and is open to the public. No experience necessary. Go to coopersrockstateforest.com.
