Make it a free for all in OC

The Baltimore Sun

Ocean City is making a push this summer to highlight its free family fun and activities.

The free events - you will remember some of them from seasons past - include tennis, family programs at the Life-Saving Station Museum, concerts, party nights and more. You can find a full listing, month by month, at

Free family movie night on the beach begins tonight starting at around 8:30 pm at 27th Street and the beach. The feature film tonight is Gidget. Family movies continue on Mondays and Fridays each week through August. (No movie night on July 4.) You can find a listing of the movies here.

Also beginning this week is the Family Beach Olympics at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday through Aug. 9. The event at 27th Street and the beach includes all kinds of activities, including castle contests, relays, tug of war and more. (Children must be accompanied by parents or guardians.)

As part of the free for all fun, there's also a weekly drawing for a $100 dining gift card. One winner will be selected every Wednesday through Labor Day.

So let the freebies begin.
