O.C. Spot Check: Satellite Cafe and Seafood Bistro

Baltimore Sun reporter

On 46th Street and the Bay, visitors to the beach will find Satellite Café and Seafood Bistro, a truly unique restaurant in Ocean City. The restaurant offers a solid breakfast with all of the expected essentials including French toast, sausage, eggs, bacon and all of the staples of a solid continental breakfast. In addition to a tasty breakfast offering, Satellite is a relaxing spot, indoors and outdoors, to enjoy coffee as well.

But the draw for many is not the breakfast menu.

Satellite offers a delicious Thai food menu for lunch and dinner. Having indulged in the Thai menu several times I can say first hand that the drunken noodles and pad Thai are excellent. Be aware though, the drunken noodles pack a serious spicy punch. You might be sweating after scarfing down the drunken noodles, but it's worth it for the bold and excellent flavor. A personal favorite, besides the drunken noodles, is the chicken pad Thai with its sweet and light flavor.

Each time I have eaten dinner at Satellite it has been quiet, peaceful and clean in the restaurant and the food has been excellent. And it's a perfect spot to avoid a packed dinner rush.

Satellite is located very close to Seacrets, so if you happen to be staying at the Princess Royale Bayside or find yourself wanting a solid breakfast to charge up for a day of drinking rum and rocking out to live music, this is the place to check out. It's a truly eclectic mix for an Ocean City restaurant.
