MARYLAND

Concert series

Bethesda. The Summer Concert Series continues at noon Wednesday with variety music by Crossfire at Bethesda Place Plaza, 7700 Wisconsin Ave. The Junkyard Saints perform Latin, swing, rock and Cajun music at 6 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Park, Norfolk and Woodmont avenues. Family movie night

Ocean City. Free family movie nights on the beach continue at 27th Street tomorrow with Over the Hedge and Barnyard on Friday. Events take place from 7:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. and include arts and crafts, games and singalongs for the first hour, with the movie starting at 8:45 p.m. 800-626-2326 or ococean.com.

Greek festival

Ocean City. Event takes place Friday-July 27 at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 40th Street and Isle of Wight Bay. Visitors can enjoy ethnic food, live music and dance performances. Also, vendors will be selling Greek music, books, paintings and more. Hours are noon-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday and noon-9 p.m. July 27. Admission fee. 410-524-0990.

Lecture

Frederick. A lecture titled "Battle of Monocacy" will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, 48 E. Patrick St. Author Marc Leepson is the featured speaker. Free. 301-695-1864.

Wings of Fancy

"The Finishing Touch: Accessories From the Bolivian Highlands"

"From a Single Cell"
