MARYLAND
Concert series // Bethesda. The Summer Concert Series continues at noon Wednesday with folk/rock music by Gina DeSimone at Bethesda Place Plaza, 7700 Wisconsin Ave. Terry Terrific and the Tornadoes performs variety/dance music at 6 p.m. Thursday at Veterans Park, Norfolk and Woodmont avenues. Springfest // Ocean City. Visitors can enjoy live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, food and more at this annual event concluding today on the Inlet Lot at the south end of the Boardwalk. A performance of Sir Rod's tribute to Rod Stewart is at 5 p.m. today. Free parking at the West Ocean City Park. Wings of Fancy // Wheaton. Learn about Asian, Costa Rican and North American butterfly species and nectar plants at this live indoor butterfly show. "The American Evolution: A History Through Art" // Exhibition of five overlapping themes that helped shape American culture -- money, land, politics, cultural exchange and the modern world -- is on view at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, 500 17th St. N.W., through July 27. "Vietnamese Ceramics from the Red River Delta" // Exhibit includes dishes, jars, boxes and bowls that were produced in this region between the 13th and 16th centuries. DELAWARE
"This Is War!" // Wilmington. Exhibit of more than 40 war-themed illustrations and posters focusing on the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I and World War II. Opens Saturday and continues through Aug. 10 at the Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Parkway. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays, noon-4 p.m. Sundays, closed Mondays. "Sealed in Glass, Stone and Tin" // Dover. Exhibit featuring a variety of 19th- and 20th-century containers, including medicine bottles, stoneware jars and items from Delaware's canning industry, is on display through Dec. 31 at the Museum of Small Town Life, 316 S. Governors Ave. Hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free. 302-736-7400.

"Frida Kahlo" // Philadelphia. Exhibition includes more than 40 of the artist's self-portraits, portraits and symbolic and still-life paintings. "The Greatest Bird Artists: John James Audubon and Earl Poole" // Reading. Exhibit includes work from the Reading Public Museum's permanent collection and is part of a joint project titled "Wings of Spring: A Celebration of Our Natural World."
