Why it's hot: Known for its Hollywood homes and modern architecture, this California city is located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains. Visitors can relax at one of the numerous luxury hotels, play rounds of golf at Tahquitz Creek, explore the Indian Canyons, and travel to the top of San Jacinto on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The city is also very LGBT friendly.
