Pictures: Baltimore's Checkered Flag Girls
As roving ambassadors for Labor Day weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix, the Checkered Flag Girls will be appearing throughout the area in the weeks leading up to the event. With hundreds of thousands of car-crazed visitors expected for the three-day event, the Checkered Flag Girls may have their work cut out for them, familiarizing newcomers with the city and ensuring Baltimore lives up to its nickname of "Charm City."
Here's a look at some of the 13 young women who have been chosen.

What do you do when you're not a Checkered Flag Girl?: "You can find me eating ice cream, working at the gym, shopping at the mall, or laying on the beach!"
Were you a racing fan before you became a Checkered Flag Girl?: "YES!!!"
Favorite thing about Baltimore: "Going out to the Ravens' football games on Sundays. No matter where you go during football season, there seems to be Raven fever."
What would you say to a first-time visitor to Charm City?: "Go to the National Aquarium during the day, do some sightseeing and watch the sunset over the harbor, then head down to Federal Hill for a bit of nightlife, Baltimore-style."
