Pictures: Baltimore's Checkered Flag Girls
As roving ambassadors for Labor Day weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix, the Checkered Flag Girls will be appearing throughout the area in the weeks leading up to the event. With hundreds of thousands of car-crazed visitors expected for the three-day event, the Checkered Flag Girls may have their work cut out for them, familiarizing newcomers with the city and ensuring Baltimore lives up to its nickname of "Charm City."

What do you do when you're not a Checkered Flag Girl?: Works in respite care for autistic children; student at CCBC
Were you a racing fan before you became a Checkered Flag Girl?: "No, I did not come into this a racing fan. But I'm a really big sports fan. My father said it would be interesting, since this is coming to the city, and I would get more exposure and all that."
Favorite thing about Baltimore: "I want to say everything about the city. I'm born and raised here, have a lot of involvement in sports. I love the change of weather. I love it all."
What would you say to a first-time visitor to Charm City?: "They have to come to the harbor. And they have to eat crabs. They have to eat crabs, it's a must."
