Pictures: Baltimore's Checkered Flag Girls
As roving ambassadors for Labor Day weekend's Baltimore Grand Prix, the Checkered Flag Girls will be appearing throughout the area in the weeks leading up to the event. With hundreds of thousands of car-crazed visitors expected for the three-day event, the Checkered Flag Girls may have their work cut out for them, familiarizing newcomers with the city and ensuring Baltimore lives up to its nickname of "Charm City."

What do you do when you're not a Checkered Flag Girl?: Headed for Harford Community College; hostess
Were you a racing fan before you became a Checkered Flag Girl?: "Not really. But one of my friends' father races, and it's pretty cool."
Favorite thing about Baltimore: "Definitely the Inner Harbor. And the aquarium, that's one of my favorites. Down where I live, you don't get to ride boats or anything like that. It's pretty exciting. Plus all the shopping."
What would you say to a first-time visitor to Charm City?: "Definitely go to the Inner Harbor. And watch out for traffic."
