It's National Park Week, so why not be wild and free.

From April 19-27, the National Park Service is celebrating the nation's more than 400 parks with special events and activities.

To launch "National Park Week: Go Wild" this weekend, admission to the 401 national parks and other properties under the direction of the National Park Service will be free.

Parks with free admission in Maryland include Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Catoctin Mountain Park, Assateague Island National Seashore and Antietam and Monocacy battlefields.

In addition, the National Park Foundation is teaming up with Disney, which is promoting its movie "Bears." For each moviegoer who sees the film during National Park Week, Disney will make a donation to preserve our national parks.
