The Eastern Shore town topped the in the magazine's 9th annual online contest to find hip and happening tiny burgs across the United States. With a population of 4,563, a beautiful downtown, a popular craft brewery, museums and even a song - "Cool Berlin" - to promote the town, Berlin ticked all the boxes, winning about 39,285 votes in the contest that began Jan. 16 and ended early Tuesday.
