The Inn at Perry Cabin( Orient-Express Hotels Photo / June 13, 2010 )
Why it's romantic:Built in 1816, the inn is on the Miles River, a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay in the Eastern Shore town of St. Michaels, which has been described as "Norman Rockwell meets Ralph Lauren." Set on 25 acres with manicured gardens and meticulous grounds, the Orient-Express property has 76 rooms, many with fireplaces, separate living-room areas and French doors that lead onto patios or verandas. "Our charming location is a total escape any time of year," says hotel general manager Stephanie Mehail. "With the tranquillity of the Eastern Shore and the casual elegance of the inn, together it creates a quiet hideaway for two."
Whom to take: Your beloved.
