Ridley Scott is ready to pass "Go" and collect well over $200 to direct a feature film version of "Monopoly."

Yeah, we aren't sure what to say about that either.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hasbro and Universal have lined up Scott and screenwriter Pamela Pettler to bring the popular Atlantic City-set board game to the big screen.

The trade paper insists that the movie will "shape a narrative out of the iconic real estate game," which is a bit of a relief. The trade paper also adds that Scott has "an eye toward giving it a futuristic sheen along the lines of his iconic 'Blade Runner.'"

Yes, apparently everything is iconic in The Hollywood Reporter today.

Hasbro is also developing "Ouija Board" and "Battleship" features. And no, that isn't a joke.

Pettler's writing credit include "Monster House" and "Corpse Bride."

Scott, who will also produce the "Monopoly" feature, most recently directed "Body of Lies" and "American Gangster."
