Daniel Craig in 'Casino Royale'

The latest 007 adventure is no longer titled "Bond 22."

In a Thursday (Jan. 24) press conference, producers announced that the latest James Bond film will be titled "Quantum of Solace."

While that title may have casual observers scratching their heads, Bond fanatics will recognize the title from an Ian Fleming short story. Then again, even recognizing the 1960 short story may not be helpful, since the original "Quantum of Solace" features Bond, but only as one of several characters at a stuffy dinner party.

In his second entry with a license to kill, Daniel Craig returns as a lovelorn Bond still coping with the death of Eva Green's Vesper at the end of "Casino Royale." Bent on revenge, he goes out after Dominic Greene (Mattieu Amalric), head of a rather nasty crime syndicate.

As was previously announced, Olga Kurylenko will play Bond girl Camille, with British newcomer Gemma Arterton spicing things up as Agent Fields, an MI6 operative helping Bond's cause.

Returning characters including Dame Judi Dench's M, Jeffrey Wright's Felix Leiter and Giancarlo Giannini's Mathis.

Marc Forster ("Monster's Ball") began directing "Quantum of Solace" earlier this month at the franchise's familiar Pinewood Studios home.

Once again, Sony is handing distribution for MGM, with "Quantum of Solace" set for worldwide release on Nov. 7.
