Muskegon, Mich. - New details in court Wednesday about a Muskegon man who is now officially charged with leaving his mother in a filthy house for several weeks.

Mark Anderson, 50, is currently jailed on a $10,000 bond.

Prosecutors say his mother, Lucille Anderson, 85, was found Monday in poor health, lying in her own waste.

In court, prosecutors said Mark Anderson had taken money from his mother's social security checks.

Police told FOX 17 the house in the 1600 block of Hoyt Street was filled with trash inside, with little aisles to navigate through the garbage.

Right now, Lucille Anderson is hospitalized in serious condition after undergoing surgery to repair a deteriorating part of her leg.
