GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A west Michigan candy company is voluntarily recalling chocolate-covered peanuts potentially contaminated with salmonella.
Koeze Co. of Grand Rapids says the peanuts were sold in bulk from behind the candy counter in the two Albertus Koeze & Co. retail stores in Grand Rapids and Wyoming until Friday.

No illnesses have been reported.

No retail-packaged goods are covered by the recall, which Koeze announced upon learning that milk chocolate-covered peanuts purchased for resale in its retail stores had been recalled by the manufacturer, Marich Confectionary of Hollister, Calif.

Customers who bought the recalled products should return the items or a receipt to an Albertus Koeze store for a refund.

Consumers seeking additional information should call Koeze Company at 616-724-2601 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
