YMCA Outdoor Aquatic Center opens in Lawrence

The city of Lawrence has a new way to fight the heat wave. The Benjamin Harrison YMCA Outdoor Aquatic Center opened to the public Tuesday.

The pool features a 53-foot long enclosed waterslide and a tidal bucket that dumps 25-gallons of water onto swimmers.

It's free to YMCA members and those with a guest pass for July. After that, guest passes will cost $10.
