Fox59 is Stretching Your Dollar with some special ways to honor your mom for Mother's Day that won't break the bank.

“I am a mother of four. My oldest is 19, then I also have a 17-year-old, a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old," said Cynthia Compton, owner of 4 Kids Books & Toys.

As a mother, Compton said she has a few ideas for what mom's might like.

“One of the things I suggest to teenagers is that they look at the last book that they read, which they really love, and get a copy and give it to mom.

"Because not only will she enjoy it too, but then they'll have a chance to talk about it together and that experience is more valueable than the gift."

For Mother's Day, Scotty's Brewhouse is giving away VIP cards to moms at all their locations. Those cards accumulate points with every visit. Moms can then redeem the points for meals, apparel, even trips to California. And if you plan a trip to Scotty's they don't take reservation.

“It's a pretty busy day and we look forward to people being there. We're also doing "kids eat free" in many of our locations," said John Cavanaugh is the VP of Operations.

The Omni Severin has a champagne brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday. It’s $53 for adults and about half that for kids. As you’d expect, they offer food and beverages, but they will also have live jazz, hand and chair massages, plus a cookie decorating and coloring station for the kids.

You could also take mom to the Stone Creek Dining Company and really stretch your dollar. It's a buffet for under $25!

“We are offering a Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults are $24.99, children under 12 are $12.99 and kids under three, get in free,” said Stephanie Quinn, Assistant Manager at Stone Creek.

And here's some fine dining for mom. It's a three course meal at Morton`s Steakhouse for $59 a person. The first course choices include
lobster bisque, ahi tuna and jumbo shrimp. The second course possibilities are filet mignon, glazed salmon or chicken. And for dessert, you
can have creme brulee, double chocolate mousse or an individual soufflé.

O’Charley’s is also opening early for brunch on Mother’s Day at 9:00 a.m. O’Charley’s sent out an Early Bird Special for O’CLUB members and coupons
were passed out in the restaurants. They are $5 off a $20 food purchase on Sunday from 9-11 a.m. You can join the O’CLUB to receive this discount
and others from O’Charley’s.

Whatever you do or wherever you go, don't forget this advice from the folks at Stone Creek Dining, “we will take some walk-ins, but I would highly
suggest getting a reservation because we are booking up pretty quick."
