Semi driver dies after accident in Rush County

Police responded to US 52 in the area of 300 South on reports of a semi accident. When police arrived, they found a 2004 Freightliner on its top.

A semi driver died Monday morning after the truck rolled over in Rush County.

Police responded to US 52 in the area of 300 South on reports of a semi accident.  When police arrived, they found a 2004 Freightliner on its top.  

Indiana State Police said the truck was driving west bound and pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with shingles.  Police said the truck drove partially off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and drove off the left side of US 52 before flipping on its top.  

Police said 43-year-old Brian Moore of Laurel, Ind. was killed in the crash.

The roadway was closed for several hours to clear the wreckage.
