As you may know, Thursday is the day Chris Brown appears in court (details coming soon), and Rihanna may or may not testify against him. But, even if she doesn't, prosecutors can take over and charge him anyway. And according to TMZ, the LA County District Attorney has received the case from the LAPD. So Chris may not be out of hot water like he thought he was. It's been rumored that Rihanna will testify, on Chris' behalf. It will be interesting to see if she even shows her face.
New details in the case come from LAPD detective notes from a search warrant in the case (obtained by LA's Fox 11). According to these notes, Rihanna read a three-page text message on Chris' phone from another woman. An argument broke out and Chris allegedly tried to force Rihanna out of the car but was unsuccessful because Rihanna was wearing a seat belt. Click it or Ticket!
Anyway, supposedly Chris shoved Rihanna's head against the passenger window, then, continuously punched her while he was driving. (That would probably explain the blood found in the center console of the Lambourghini they were in.) The notes go on to say that he allegedly told her, "I'm going to beat the **** out of you when we get home. You wait and see."
That's when Rihanna called her assistant and left a message saying, "I'm on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there." Brown then replied, "You just did the stupidest thing ever. I'm going to kill you."
According to the report, Chris continued to punch Rihanna, bit her on her ear and fingers, and put her in a headlock to the point of nearly losing consciousness.
LAPD interviewed Rihanna after the attack and she reportedly told them that that wasn't the first time Chris has put his hands on her in a violent way. She said that the attacks were getting "more violent" as time went on. WOW! Say it ain't so, Chris! Say it ain't so!
But, it gets worse. The photo that was leaked to TMZ a few weeks ago showing Rihanna's badly bruised and bloody face, is nothing compared to additional pics taken the day after the attacks. I hear they are waaaaayyyy more gruesome than the one we've all seen.
But aside from all that, we know that Rihanna has taken Chris back. We know that they spent the weekend together in Miami at Diddy's mansion so that they can work it out. Well the internet is buzzing with reports that Chris Brown proposed to Rihanna and not only did she accept, but they called a reverend to the house and got MARRIED!!!! I don't believe this one for one second!
What I DO believe is that Chris Brown is going to have to do some SERIOUS damage control if he somehow dances his way out of this one!
LONG STORY SHORT....
Tyler Perry is working on a new film already! Production for "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" will begin on March 16th. And of course, Perry will write, direct, and star in the film, along with Academy Award Nominee Taraji P. Henson. The film is set to be released on September 11, 2009 via Lionsgate. He will then start production on "Why Did I Get Married Too," the sequel to 2007's "Why Did I Get Married." That film is set to be released Easter weekend 2010. Perry has released 7 films through Lionsgate since 2005, including the number one movie on the continent for the last 2 weeks, "Madea Goes to Jail"-which has grossed him $66 million to date. Collectively, his films have grossed nearly $350 million. Go Tyler!
A riot broke out at a Toni Braxton concert in the Republic of Suriname over the weekend. Why, you ask? Because Toni Braxton wasn't really Toni Braxton. A woman by the name of Trina Johnson has been booking shows by telling people that she was Braxton (sometimes she would say she was Braxton's manager). So when she took the stage this past weekend, fans went bananas after realizing Johnson was a fake! They threw bottles on stage and even looted some of the bars at the venue! According to Caribbean Net News, police have begun an investigation, but concert promoters have conveniently disappeared. One website is reporting that the imposter and her husband have been arrested. The real Toni Braxton's rep told TMZ, "Toni Braxton is aware of what happened and is obviously displeased with what happened. She regrets that both she and her fans have been victimized by this hoax."
Wacko Jacko's production company is suing the company that is trying to auction off all of his weird personal property. *I guess he wants to get some of the money back that he spent on that...junk!* In the lawsuit, Jacko claims Julien's Auction House is not "legally entitled to retain possession of Michael Jackson's personal property." The auction, which includes weird stuff like: the hands from Edward Scissorhands, rhinestone gloves and socks, a picture of Jackson dressed as a prince, and a car with a painting of Jackson as Peter Pan *side eye*, is scheduled to take place April 22nd in Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, Jacko is expected to make an announcement today about a series of comeback shows in London.
And that's the rundown for today folks! Stay tuned for more info on Chris Brown's court date....and don't forget to leave your 2 cents!
