The Purdue Student Government will hold a memorial service for Neil Armstrong, who was an alumnus and Apollo astronaut.
The memorial service will be held in front of the Neil A. Armstrong Hall of Engineering at 701 W. Stadium Ave.
He was the first human to step foot onto the surface of the moon, on July 20, 1969.
Armstrong died on Saturday at the age of 82. He earned a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Purdue in 1955 and was awarded an honorary doctoarte in engineering from Purdue in 1970.
