Pacer's star, Roy Hibbert, is stepping up to recruit more bone marrow donors.
Hibbert was at the Castleton Square Mall today, signing autographs and encouraging people to sign up for the "Be The Match" program.
It puts people in a registry to be matched up with a patient who needs a transplant.
The project is close to Hibbert, because he became close with 12 year-old Lee Eddins.
Eddins had leukemia, but passed away the day that Hibbert was schedule to visit him.
Hibbert isn't just asking others to help; he's doing it himself.
“I'm gonna get my mouth swabbed and be a part of the registry," Hibbert said. "And if my name is called I'm going to be ready to help.”
The organizer hoping to get 500 new people registered.
