Indianapolis

Kokomo Police arrested a man Tuesday, after he reportedly used a tree branch to rob a convenience store.

Police were called to the Village Pantry on Home Avenue around 7 a.m. The clerk said Michael Wilson walked behind the cash register carrying a large tree branch. Wilson reportedly forced the clerk to open the cash register.

He was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, police said.

Wilson was found at a nearby apartment complex shortly thereafter. He faces one count of robbery and is being held at the Howard County Jail.
