Family and friends said goodbye Friday to an Indiana soldier killed in Afghanistan.
The funeral service for 32-year-old Staff Sergeant Jonathan Metzger was held on the city's southeast side.
He was the commander of an Indiana National Guard unit based out of Valparaiso.
Metzger and three other soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb Jan. 6.
The other troops who died include Sergeant Brian Leonhardt, Crown Point, Ind.; Specialist Christopher Patterson, Aurora, Ill.; and Specialist Robert Tauteris, Jr. of North Judson, Ind.
Private First Class Douglass A. Rachowicz was also injured in the attack. He remains at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
