Indianapolis

Sort of shocked, that seemed to be the overall reaction to news of Jim Caldwell's dismissal Tuesday.

Most fans said it really is time for the Colts to freshen things up.

"I think that the Colts are looking to shake up from the front office all the way down through the ranks of the players quite frankly," said long-time Colts fan Mike Mitchell

"You bring in the right team with the right strategy anything is possible," said fan Eugene Hilliard

What that team and strategy will look like is anyone's guess at this point.  But almost as soon as word spread about Caldwell, many were already talking about number 18's future.

"I would like to see Peyton be the highest paid coach in the NFL, retain his contract, keep him here and get a new young quarterback." said Mitchell.

Yup, believe it or not that's the talk of the town.  Do all the changes at the top mean the end of Indy's Manning era? It's no surprise that some say yes, while others aren't ready to say goodbye.

"I think it'll be extremely sad. There will be a lot of disappointed fans if Peyton's gone," said Richelle Baker.

"Peyton's had his day and he's a great quarterback and he'll be in the hall of fame, but at some point in time, every team has to rebuild and go in a different direction," said Hilliard.
