Cheese Recall (September 13, 2012)

Indianapolis

Forever Cheese announced Thursday that it is recalling 5,000 pounds of cheese following a listeria outbreak.

The ricotta cheese was sold in several states, including Indiana, between June 20 and Aug. 9.

Most people wouldn't be able to tell if their cheese was affected since it's distributed in large wheels, and then cut down into smaller servings by stores and restaurants.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the cheese has been connected to three deaths and has sent 14 others to the hospital.

Symptoms of listeria may include fever, muscle aches, nausea or diarrhea.
