A pair of bomb threats have resulted in the evacuation of universities in North Dakota and Texas.

The website for the University of Texas at Austin had an alert saying, “"Immediately evacuate ALL buildings and get as far away as possible.”

Police characterized it as a “general” bomb threat, saying they called for the evacuation to keep everyone safe.

Another alert was also posted on the website for North Dakota State University in Fargo. The alert told all students and employees to leave campus because of a bomb threat.

There is no indication that the threats were connected.
