Oh, Dee Snider. Always the entertainer, Snider has been turning heads and dropping jaws since his time as frontman for Twisted Sister in the '70s and '80s. And us CT peeps had the pleasure of letting Snider wake us up with his Radio 104.1 morning show from 1999-2003.

His latest artistic effort is an album of, wait for it, Broadway showtunes, with a handful of duets with such names as Clay Aiken, Bebe Newirth, Cyndi Lauper and Patti LuPone. Uhhhh, what? It's pretty cool, even if it's the last thing I ever saw coming. Dee Does Broadway will be released March 27.

Also due out this year from Snider is his authobiography Shut Up and Give Me the Mic, out May 8 via Gallery Books. On May 10, he'll swing by Madison's R.J. Julia Booksellers to sign copies and do some talkin'. 7 p.m. Check it out.
