Henrico police are investigating a shooting last night at a home near Deep Run High School.

Police say a 53-year-old man was shot in the face around 11:00pm while inside his home along the 4900 block of Park Meadows Lane. The man is in critical but stable condition right now.

According to Henrico County real estate papers the home is owned by a man named Terrance Nero. A man who identified himself as Nero's brother tells CBS 6 Reporter Tracy Sears his brother was shot in the jaw. He says his brother is in stable condition at this hour.

Police say the bullet was fired from outside the home, through a bay window and into the breakfast nook area of the house. Police say it appears as though the shooter was hiding in the victim's backyard before the shot was fired.

Seconds after the shot was fired, witnesses tell police they saw the shadow of someone running from the scene.
