A construction worker at the Connecticut Science Center was killed Friday morning as a result of an electrical accident.
It happened shortly after 8AM. Police say the man was working on the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system at the time. The man was taken to Hartford Hospital after he was given CPR at the site. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The worker is an employee of RCMS Controls Inc, an HVAC contractor based in Wallingford. A company manager confirmed that a worker was killed, but could not comment any further.
No name has been released.
OSHA will be investigating the incident. And construction has halted at the site at least until Monday.
