Southbury man arrested in parking spot dispute
TRUMBULL, Conn. (AP) - A Southbury man is facing criminal mischief charges, accused of slashing the tires of a car whose driver beat him to a parking space at the Westfield Trumbull mall.
James Meeks was arrested Friday and released after posting bond for an incident that occurred the day after Christmas.
Trumbull police say a woman was pulling her car into a parking space when she noticed that a Honda sedan had also been waiting to pull into the space.
Police say the woman told them that when she got out of her car the other driver gave her a very agitated look.
Police say a security camera shows Meeks bending down by the woman's rear tires and puncturing them with a sharp object before driving off.
