Police are searching for the person who stabbed a man on a busy city street during the morning commute.
The victim was stabbed on his upper torso at about 7:30 a.m. outside Dishes restaurant at Farmington Avenue and Laurel Street.
Dunkin' Donuts with some coffee, one witness said. The group walked east on Farmington Avenue when they were confronted by a man walking south on Laurel Street, she said.
"I thought he was pushing him," she said of the stabber. But then she saw the blood. The victim was stabbed near his shoulder, she said.
Keyshawn Johnson said children on their way to school walked past the prone victim. The fire department washed the blood away as soon as he was brought to the hospital, he said.
Johnson, who lives nearby, said there is too much crime in the neighborhood.
"When is it going to stop?" he asked.
