Robert Lingl lost his hand 18 years ago in a car accident. Today he got a new one, a bionic hand. Not like Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man, but one that will allow him to go fishing, grab a doorknob or a telephone.
The new hand comes from Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics and costs upward of $50,000. The i-Limb is the first model with five independently moving fingers.
