7 year old Cruz Mead was diagnosed with dwarfism, and he also needed a kidney.

His parents were both a match, and Penn State Hershey Medical Center doctors determined his mother would be best suited for the transplant.

A benefit concert was held, and money was raised to help cover the cost of the surgery.

His parents, Tina Lackey and Michael Mead, say they're very grateful to the community for the support, and they want to give back.

Tina, Michael and Cruz will speak and volunteer at Camp Kidney, a camp for children who are going through kidney disorders.
