SUMAC FLANK STEAK  WITH POMEGRANATE SAUCE Serves 6

Ingredients:

 1 tablespoon sumac broiler pan

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

 ¾ teaspoon kosher salt

2 pounds flank steak

 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

 1 medium shallot, finely chopped

¼ cup ruby or tawny Port

 ¼ cup pomegranate molasses
