SPRINGETTSBURY TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY—It's been more than a month since Tropical Storm Lee swept across Central Pennsylvania. However, a York County volunteer group continues to help those in need. "Servants" has responded to 80 calls since the storm rolled through and has cleaned 50 houses free of charge.
"We know that people get overwhelmed with the tragedies and devastations that happen in our community and this is just one way that we reach out to them to reassure them that they're not alone," said Todd Jackson, Servants Volunteer Organization.
Tuesday volunteers removed mold from a Springettsbury home. The homeowner told Fox 43 she's lived in her house for nearly 60 years and Tropical Storm Lee is the worst storm she's seen.
Servants is looking for volunteers as well as dump truck donations.
