The sounds of baseball cleats back on City Island, for the return of the Senators and their new manager, former Lancaster Barnstormer, Matt LeCroy, "I'm looking forward to the year, I think we can get back to the playoffs and hopefully bring a championship back here." Stephen King, Senators Infielder adds, "Most of the guys here have played with the skipper before so they have a pretty good feel for him and what he expects so I don't think there is a big change at all."
But there will be one change on City Island, the need for speed. LeCroy- "I'm going to be really agressive on the bases and I'm not going to sit back and wait for no home runs and make some things happen, but you will definitley see some guys move around the bases."
The Senators were in the Eastern League playoffs last season, they had to play all 3 games at Richmond, where they lost the series. They couldn't play right here at Metro Bank Park because of the flooding in Central PA. Patrick McCoy (Senators Pitcher), "My girlfriend sent me a picture of the field when we were in Richmond and the water was up to the fence but its great to see the field, the field looks awesome, the field looks great, looks like it did last year, like nothing happened."
Opening day for Harrisburg, Thursday at Bowie, the home opener, Thursday April 12th against Reading.
