It's week eight of the high school football regular season. We're coming down the homestretch and so far, nobody has been able to figure out the Palmyra Cougars. This Friday Night, 7-0 Palmyra travels to 5-2 Trinity in a huge matchup that will help decide the winner of the Mid-Penn Capital Division.

FOX43 stopped by Palmyra's practice on Tuesday to check in with the undefeated Cougars. This is the squad sitting on top of the division after blanking East Pennsboro in week seven.

"It was huge. It was our homecoming game so pitching a shutout was really special for us," said Palmyra's Jon Hicks. "East Penn is a great football team and we weren't expecting to shut them out. It was just a great game.>

Head Coach Chris Pope likes how this team prepares every week. "I think we have a good football team this year in that they seem to about business, that's the way they take care of things. They don't get too caught up in a lot of things. Hopefully, they'll have a good week of practice and we'll be good."
