Thousands of wreaths being placed on graves for the "Wreaths Across America" program held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery to honor and remember veterans.

Family, friends and volunteers placing almost 4,000 holiday wreaths on graves. All 131 VA national cemeteries receiving ceremonial wreaths -- one for each service branch, one for the Merchant Marine, and one for Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action.

Family members of the fallen were able to honor their loved ones by personally placing the wreath on the individuals grave stone.

Beverly Faircloth placing a wreath on her son's grave. Cpl. Jonathon Faircloth died in a helicopter crash in Hawaii back in March.  This is the first Christmas the Faircloth family will spend without him.

Organizers have an ultimate goal of putting wreaths on every grave at the cemetery, all 26,000.
