Welcome to Hollywood week, Idol fans! It is a time of blood, sweat, and tears, and don't forget the Drama!
This year a change made to Hollywood week was the addition of Idol Boot Camp. The Idol hopefuls get to meet with vocal coaches, and stylists to help improve their game plan for the competition. They even brought in the infamous Barry Manilow to speak to the contestants.
With all this added help, there should be nothing but stars up on the stage already. But alas, some contestants still thought they were too good to listen to the advice they were given, and we still had a plethora of jokes up on that stage.
In all fairness...at least Nick/Norman was trying to be funny. The first contestant on that stage though was absolutely no joke. Lil Rounds came out in a big way. She really went for it with that big song -and flew through the first round.
Then came the comedy in the form of Dennis Brigham. He does make extremely weird faces while singing. And his voice isn't all that great. I don't think I was a big fan of his when he auditioned, mainly because I couldn't remember him. So the judges must have felt the same way and then sent him packing. But he didn't go without making a fool of himself on stage and cementing the judges decision.
Dennis most definitely did not handle rejection well. I don't remember him either, so he must not have been that great to begin with. I don't remember Nathaniel Marshall either, but I think I missed this kid from when I was gone-he's interesting, but I it wasn't the right song.
