Update: The murder of six-week-old Adam Moyer, Jr. is difficult for even the most veteran members of law enforcement to comprehend.

"It's depravity, that's what it is," said Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman.

The baby's parents, Adam Moyer, Sr., 24, and Brianna Michael, 23, were arrested Wednesday in Stevens, PA in connection with his death.

Paramedics responded to the couple's apartment on the 100 block of Locust Street in Columbia on October 18th and found the baby unresponse.

The child autopsy revealed a disturbing pattern of abuse.

"It's multiple massive blows to the head. Whether that's from the kneeing, smashing his head against the wall. Repeated punching from an adult on a six week old you can imagine the injuries you could cause from that," Stedman said.

The medical examiner also found that the baby suffered serious burns on his body, nine broken ribs, and damage to his scrotum and several internal organs one to two weeks before he died.

Neighbors of the couple are just as horrified by the abuse this baby suffered. They left two small make-shift memorials outside the apartment where he died.

"I'm just at my end. I'm just at a breaking point when I hear that kind of stuff," said Dolores May.

"It's sad. The whole situation is just sad," added Victoria Polanco. "I wish I could've helped him or I could have done something to help him or I don't know. It's just like no one in the building knew."
