Two people were injured Monday morning in a crash involving a Chevrolet Suburban and a mini-bus carrying 13 special needs adults in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk police said.

Both of the drivers suffered minor injuries, Suffolk County Police said. None of the passengers on the bus were injured, according to police.

The incident took place at 8:27 a.m. near the intersection of Pond Road and Expressway Drive North. Police said the Suburban ran a "traffic control device," leading to the crash.

It was unclear if the device was a stop sign or a light.

Police said both drivers were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries. It is unclear if any summonses or violations were issued.

The case remains under investigation.
