STATEN ISLAND (PIX11) -- Two men suspected in the shooting death of DJ Megatron are under arrest Wednesday night.

Richard Cromwell, 20, and William Williams, 21, were arrested at 3:30 p.m. according to police.

Detectives believe it may have been a robbery gone bad, but it isn’t yet known if the suspects were acquaintances of the victim.

Megatron, born Corey McGriff, was shot in the chest and killed at 2 a.m. after leaving his house on Staten Island to go to a nearby store. 

Before working on BET's music countdown series "106 & Park", Megatron was a hip-hop and radio personality in New York City, Boston and Philadelphia.

Cromwell faces charges of murder, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property.

Williams faces charges of murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
