Emergency Service Officers Tobie Monaco, Billy Judge, Dan Coan and Walter Justincic arrived at the lot and devised a plan to rescue the baby deer.
After they tested the environment to make sure it was safe to go down the manhole, Officer Justincic put on a breathing apparatus, and using a harness, was lowered down 20 feet into the hole.
Justincic put a separate harness on the torso of the deer, which was crying but otherwise seemed fine.
The officers raised the deer to ground level and brought Officer Justincic back up.
The deer was released into the woods, seemingly unscathed.
