NEW YORK, N.Y. (WPIX) -- A recently released poll shows New Yorkers blame Caroline Kennedy and her handlers for her botched bid for Hillary Clinton's vacant senate seat.

According to a Quinnipiac University poll, 49% of voters blame Kennedy, while only 15% place blame on Governor David Paterson, who was charged with picking Clinton's replacement once she assumed her new duties as secretary of state.

Quinnipiac surveyed 1,047 voters between January 23-25. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
