An 8-year-old girl is recovering after plunging seven stories out her apartment window Thursday morning, authorities said.

The child, who police have identified as Destiny Antonio, slipped out of a window from her family's 7th floor apartment in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx around 1:15 a.m.

Neighbors who witnessed the fall, immediately called police.

The girl suffered several broken bones and internal injuries and was rushed to Jacobi Hospital where she is now listed in critical condition.

According to a family member, the girl's mother had made complaints about the window to building management. Police are looking into whether the apartment window had the proper guards.
