Rego Park, Queens (PIX11)—The line stretched around the block for Daniel Fernandez's wake.
The 16-year old St. Francis Prep student died Friday while on-board a double decker party bus.

The packed bus was heading from Queens to a Sweet 16 party in Garfield
Classmate Corrine Blase told Pix11's Jay Dow, "I don't know. I honestly don't know. He wasn't a stupid kid. He knew right from wrong, and I just really don't know what would possess him to do that."
Police have not confirmed earlier media reports that alcohol may have been alcohol on the bus.
But before the accident, the kids were certainly having a good time. Many of the tidbits from that night were documented on social media sites Twitter and Instagram.
"He was always happy. He was always there for you," said classmate Louisa Alverez. "He touched a whole lot of people's lives."
At the funeral home, the emphasis was on remembering a popular student who touched many lives.
For the mother of a classmate named Petra (who declined to give her last name), explaining this tragedy to her own children has been especially challenging.
"This will be with them for the rest of their lives. It's just that way with these kids. Actually, I know all his family all my life. It's horrifying," Petra said.
