A man's body was found after firefighters extinguished a pile of garbage that was set ablaze in Brooklyn early Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

The fire was reported at about 3:45 a.m. outside of 2171 Hendrickson Street, near Avenue U in Marine Park. The location is two blocks away from Kings Plaza Shopping Mall.

The identity of the victim, believed to be a white male, is unknown and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Authorities may have a difficult time identifying the body as its finger tips were reportedly sliced off.
