LONG ISLAND, N.Y - Police on Long Island are combing the streets for a man accused of robbing three drugstores in one day.

Each of the robberies took place on Sunday, September 14th, and in each instance the suspect flashed a gun and threatened to open fire on the cashiers.

According to authorities, the suspect first struck at a Walgreen's drugstore, at 8:23 a.m. on East Jericho Turnpike in Commack. He demanded the cashier to open her drawer, but ran off before getting any cash.

Minutes later, cops say he robbed a CVS Pharmacy at 2000 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport.

Then at around 10:10 a.m., he robbed a CVS Pharmacy at 701 North Wellwood Ave., in Lindenhurst, police say.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a medium build and short cropped hair.  He was last seen wearing a white shirt and sweatpants.
